Eden Hazard has revealed he has told Chelsea of his decision regarding his future at the club.
The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract, having failed to agree a new deal to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid, and is believed to have told officials at Chelsea of his desire to move to Spain.
Chelsea have secured Champions League football for next season, though it is thought to have made no difference to Hazard as he seeks a new challenge after seven years in the Premier League.
Hazard says he has informed the club of his decision, with an announcement likely to be made following the club’s Europa League final meeting with Arsenal later this month.
“I have made my decision but it is not just about me,” Hazard told reporters after Sunday’s draw with Leicester.
“I told the club a couple of weeks ago.
“I wanted it to be cleared up earlier but that’s not happened. I’m still waiting, like the fans are waiting.”
During his appearance on our Podcast this week, we asked Chris Waddle who was the most over rated player you played against?
