Hazard praises ‘complete striker’ Higuain

Eden Hazard has praised “fantastic” new loan signing Gonzalo Higuain after scoring his first two goals for Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Argentine striker finally got off the mark in his third game for the club, scoring twice in a five goal demolition of lowly Huddersfield Town at the weekend.

Higuain was drafted in by manager Maurizio Sarri on a loan deal from Juventus to help Chelsea be more proficient in front of goal as they attempt to secure qualification for next year’s UEFA Champions League.

Hazard praised his new teammate for his performance in training and on matchday, complimenting the forward on his versatility in the role.

“He’s good, we know, we saw it in the first training session that he is a fantastic striker,” Hazard told chelseafc.com.

“He can score from everywhere, he scored a lot of goals in Italy and Spain. He has the quality to score, and also receive the ball, be a target man, go deep. He is complete, and we are just happy to play with him.”

Chelsea currently occupy fourth place in the Premier League table, two points clear of Manchester United.
