Eden Hazard has finally put an end to speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, insisting he is happy at Chelsea and will not be leaving, for now at least.

Hazard has been linked with a move to the European champions for a number of seasons already but saw speculation intensify after they allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to move to Juventus in a £100 million move.

The Belgian then threw fuel onto the media fire by admitting after the World Cup that it could finally be time to leave Chelsea.

However, the former Lille winger has said that he will not be leaving Stamford Bridge during this transfer window:

“I’m fine here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two,” he told RMC Sport.

“Leave this year? I will not leave. Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup – but I’m happy here.”

While the transfer window is closed for Premier League clubs, side’s around Europe can still make signings until the end of August, but despite that, Hazard thinks that wouldn’t be the right decision:

“The transfer window in England is over. Clubs cannot sign players,” added Hazard. “It would be a little odd if they sell me now while they can’t recruit a replacement.”
