Report: Hazard to ask Chelsea for Real Madrid transfer

Eden Hazard could finally be on his way to Real Madrid this summer after admitting he has “made a decision” on his future.

It’s the transfer that has been threatening to happen every year without ever coming to fruition, but we could be on the verge of seeing Belgium’s most talented player switch from blue to white.

The Telegraph are reporting that Hazard will tell Chelsea he wants a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu by the end of the season, while Real Madrid are confident of capturing the player, according to the Mirror

The 28-year-old admitted in a radio documentary for French station RMC that will be aired be today that “I know what I will do. I have made my decision.”

Despite the interview being recorded recorded two months ago, it is the clearest indication yet that Hazard will leave Stamford Bridge this year.

The wide forward has previously stated that it would be a ” dream” to play for Real, while Blues boss Maurizio Sarri last week admitted that he could not stop the player leaving if that’s what he wanted:

“Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go. Of course, I hope the opposite. I hope he wants to stay here. He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment,” Sarri said.

Real Madrid are believed to be willing to pay upwards of £100m for his signature, which would make him one of the most expensive players of all-time.
