Harry Maguire is still hopeful of completing a move to Manchester United this summer, despite no deal having been agreed.
Manchester United are known to be desperate to add a new central defender to their ranks, with Maguire thought to be one of their primary targets.
However, with less than 24 hours until the transfer deadline, Jose Mourinho’s side seem no closer to strengthening at the back, with Toby Alderweireld and Jerome Boateng also thought to be targets.
Despite the distinct lack of time until tomorrow’s 5 pm deadline, as well as Leicester being adamant that Maguire is not for sale, Sky Sports are reporting that the England international defender is still ‘hopeful’ that a deal can be concluded.
Leicester are thought to be close to adding two new centre-backs to their ranks – Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb and Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg, as well as the addition of Jonny Evans from earlier this summer.
