Pep Guardiola leads his Manchester City team into battle with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
Guardiola was asked today about the fact that Bournemouth have never actually beaten Manchester City when speaking with the media today.
In typical Guardiola fashion, he dismissed the statistic in an attempt to keep his team focused on the task at hand when facing the Cherries.
“I don’t care about the records and the stats – they are in the past, the good results we’ve had don’t allow us to start three up,” he told his pre-match press conference.

Guardiola discussed Bournemouth’s exciting start to the season and how well they are currently playing for their young boss, Eddie Howe.
“They are stable and a good team, a lot of years playing the with the same manager, they buy what they need, they deserve to take results.”
City are looking for their sixth straight Premier League win while The Cherries have hit a blip and could be about to suffer their fourth straight defeat.
Despite this recent poor run, Howe’s Bournemouth side is still 8th in the league and will be hoping to remain in and around their current place come the end of the season.
