Guardiola labels Liverpool ‘exceptional’ as title race hots up

Pep Guardiola has referred to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team as exceptional as Manchester City prepare to do battle with The Reds for the Premier League title.

Guardiola admitted that he expects the top of the table to change again following Liverpool’s fixture with Bournemouth on Saturday.

“Tomorrow they play before us and I think things are going to change,” Guardiola told the media ahead of his sides clash with Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday.

“The pressure, Liverpool are exceptional, I don’t have the feeling that Jurgen Klopp or Virgil van Dijk feel pressure.

“I feel they play good and try to win the games, I think they will be there until the end and we have to be there to win our games to decide the Premier League.”

Liverpool have struggled in their last two games, both ending 1-1 with Leicester City and West Ham United.

Man City were able to take advantage of Liverpool’s dropped points by winning 2-0 at Everton on Wednesday night, a win which returned them to the top of the table, albeit having played a game more than Liverpool.
