Manchester City eased past Arsenal 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley last weekend, and tonight the two clubs will meet again in the Premier League at the Emirates tonight.
Despite his side comfortably beating the Gunners last Sunday, City manager Pep Guardiola is still expecting a tough test when his side travel to London to face Arsene Wenger’s team.
“Arsenal is always a hard game and when they play, they are a tough, tough, tough team at the Emirates.
“Maybe they were not consistent enough but at home they are so strong. I don’t know how many points they dropped but not too much. The times I have always been there with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have always been tough.”
If City beat Arsenal they will restore their 16 point lead at the top of the Premier League with just 10 games remaining this season.
Guardiola confirmed yesterday that his side will not become complacent despite their huge lead. The former Barcelona coach also admitted that he sees the Premier League as the most important title City are competing for – even rating winning the league as more special than Champions League glory.
