Gracia urges Watford players to become more clinical

Watford travel to play Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend and their Spanish boss Javi Gracia spoke with the media today ahead of the game.

Gracia highlighted the need for his Hornets side to improve their finishing if they are to carry on the impressive start they have made to this season.

“I am happy with all the players when we speak about defensive work, but we need to improve and take the chances we have,โ€ Gracia told the press.

“We are creating chances but we are not scoring the goals we deserve.

Gracia was looking to concentrate on all the positives of their season so far in order to continue in the same vein as they continue to push for a top-seven position.

“The best way to have a good chance of getting a good result is try to keep the good things we are doing. We are able to win if we improve some things.”

Leicester are just two points behind Watford in ninth so a win for The Foxes at the King Power Stadium would see them leapfrog Gracia’s men up the table.

However, a win for Watford would keep them hot on the heels of Manchester United, Bournemouth and Everton as the Premier League approaches its hectic winter schedule.
