Javi Gracia admitted that his Watford side was not at its best today as they played out a dull 0-0 draw with Burnley at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets have now only lost once in their last nine fixtures in all competitions, but today they were up against an in-form Burnley team which had won their last four games in a row.
Gracia acknowledged that his team could play a lot better than they managed today, but he felt a point from the game was still a positive outcome for the home team.
“I think today it wasn’t our best game but it was positive to get a point. We tried to win the game and were looking for different options to attack.’’ Gracia told the BBC.
“We created chances, the first one with Gerard Deulofeu at the beginning of the game, and we created two more in the first half but I think the goalkeepers were everywhere today.”
Watford are currently 7th in the league table, 11 points behind Manchester United and just one point above Wolves.
Gracia’s Watford travel to play Newcastle in the FA Cup at St James’ Park next weekend, before returning to league action away to Spurs on January 30th.
