Real Madrid goalkeeper Ruben Yanez has left the club to join Getafe on a four year deal.
The 23 year-old shot stopper made only 1 appearance for the senior Real team in his long tenure at the club. Yanez made his way through the Real ranks, spending most of his time at the Castilla.
Getafe were promoted to the La Liga Santander from the second division this season. The Spaniard will spend this season on loan at Cadiz, in the second division.
Yanez, being the third choice goalkeeper at Real, never got a chance to display his skills at the highest level.
A statement on the Real Madrid website read:
“The club expresses its thanks for what has been an exemplary career throughout the seven seasons the player has spent as part of Real Madrid, which has seen him come through the academy and break into the first-team squad.”
