Olivier Giroud wants to leave Arsenal in January to bolster his hopes of making the French World Cup squad according to reports.

Giroud was heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates last summer, with big spending Everton known to be interested in signing him as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku. However, despite the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal, and Alexis Sanchez being forced to stay, Giroud decided to stay and fight for his place.

According to the Sunday Mirror today, Giroud now feels that he is not getting the game time that he deserves at the club and will look to secure a loan move away.

The report claim that Crystal Palace and West Ham United are both interested in signing the striker, while we believe that Everton could rekindle their interest in the January window.

Giroud knows that he has a difficult task to make his way to the World Cup next summer without regular game time under his belt. He is battling current Arsenal team mate Lacazette, as well as Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema and Anthony Martial for a place on the plane to Russia.
