Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes newly appointed caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally brought some positivity back to Old Trafford, after the disastrous start to the season under Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils followed up their impressive 5-1 away win over Cardiff in the Norwegian’s first game in charge, with a 3-1 win over Huddersfield at Old Trafford yesterday.
Giggs was in attendance at United’s win over the Terriers and he has praised Solskjaer for giving fans something to look forward to again, after the toxic atmosphere that had engulfed the club towards the end of Mourinho’s reign.
“It was Ole’s first home game, and the positivity that came from Cardiff game, the performance and result and I think everyone was looking forward to the game,” the Wales manager told MUTV.
“The big players are turning up, (Paul) Pogba with the goals, David (De Gea) with a great save and Marcus (Rashford) getting better and better each game.
“There’s a real positivity around the place and we need that to carry on now going into the Bournemouth game.”
