Dwight Gayle is open to the idea of joining West Bromwich Albion permanently after his season-long loan from Newcastle.
Gayle, 28, has shone since arriving from St James Park, scoring nine goals in 14 Championship appearances as The Baggies look for promotion back to the Premier League.
Speaking on making the move permanent Gayle told the Birmingham Mail “Yeah of course it’s crossed my mind,”
“It’s something that will be on the cards, but I suppose I’ve just got to get this season out of the way and let others get on with what they’ve got to do.
“We’ll see how things go. I’m very happy playing my football here and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.”
Since being relegated from the Premier League in 2017/18, West Brom have made a strong start to the Championship season and currently occupy a play-off position in 5th, three points off the automatic promotion places.
