Gary Neville has criticised the lack of ‘blood, thunder, and risk’ in the Manchester Derby after a dull goalless draw between the teams.
Manchester United and Manchester City played out a forgettable fixture on Sunday, with neither side able to stamp their mark on the game.
Alejandro Garnacho hesitated with the best chance of the game for Manchester United. At the other end, Andre Onana was forced into two stops from Omar Marmoush. It was the closest the visitors came to breaking the deadlock.

The draw does little for either side’s league position. United remain mired in the bottom half, while City stay fifth in their chase for Champions League football.
Neville was frustrated with the contest at Old Trafford and said both teams had been micromanaged in a ‘robotic’ derby clash. He hit out at the lack of passion from both sides, who appeared content to share the spoils.
“I think the congratulations and love-in that I’m watching says both teams are happy with a 0-0,” the former Manchester United captain said to Sky Sports at full-time.
“The best Man City and Man United teams would be very disappointed with the way they’ve approached the end of that game.
“It looks like it’s Sunday afternoon and they’re going to go for a roast dinner together now.
“They’re micromanaged to an inch of their lives. So robotic, and it’s symptomatic of a lot of games that we’re watching nowadays.
“I’m disappointed, it’s a Manchester derby. It should have more blood, thunder, and risk and courage involved in playing the game and winning the game than that.”
