Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for March’s international fixtures with Brazil and Belgium.
England face two friendly games in the build-up to the European Championship this summer with the fixtures providing a last chance to stake a claim for a place in the tournament squad.
Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon have earned his first senior call-ups, though there’s on place for Southgate stalwart Kalvin Phillips who has been dropped after struggling since a loan move to West Ham in January.
Brentford’s Ivan Toney returns for the first time since his eight-month suspension and there’s room for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez and former Reds captain Jordan Henderson, the latter included following his January move to Dutch side Ajax.
Manchester City winger Jack Grealish misses out through injury.
England squad in full:
Goalkeepers: Sam Johnstone, Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale.
Defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite, Ben Chilwell, Lewis Dunk, Joe Gomez, Ezri Konsa, John Stones, Kyle Walker.
Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Conor Gallagher, Jordan Henderson, James Maddison, Declan Rice.
Forwards: Jarrod Bowen, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins.
