Gareth Bale has rejected a potential move to Manchester United this summer acdoridung to reports today.
According to the Daily Mail, the Welsh winger has ruled out a move back to the Premier League or anywhere else as he is happy at Real Madrid.
The winger picked up the first La Liga since moving to Spain, while he bagged his third Champions League winners medal this season since his world record move from Spurs in 2013.
The 27-year-old has had a difficult season at the Bernabeu this season following a number of injuries, and has had a battle to be fit in time for the Champions League final in his home city of Cardiff.
This has lead to speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United this summer, but speaking after Saturday’s final, Bale said:
“I am happy here at Madrid. We are winning trophies and I am happy.
“I have signed a long term contract at Madrid. My family is happy and I am happy so we will continue what we are doing.”
Jose Mourinho had been linked with a potential £100m for Gareth Bale following after the fantastic form of Spanish playmaker Isco, and the emergence of Marco Asensio.
The substitute appearance in the Champions League was the first since late April after the winger recovered from surgery on his injured ankle.
United have been linked with Bale’s Real Madrid teammates Alvaro Morata, Raphael Varane and James Rodriguez.
