Forward to reject Premier League trio in favour of Dortmund

Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier is set to reject interest from the Premier League in favour of joining Borussia Dortmund.

Beier has been a transfer target for English clubs after a breakout season in the Bundesliga in 2023-24. The 21-year-old scored 16 league goals for Hoffenheim to break into the Germany squad ahead of this summer’s European Championship.

Chelsea and Aston Villa have made enquiries into signing Beier this summer, while Sky Germany are reporting that Liverpool have tracked his progress and held ‘talks in recent days’ to discuss a potential deal.

However, Beier will snub interest from the Premier League in favour of Borussia Dortmund, who have opened talks with Hoffenheim over a transfer.

The forward has a release clause of €30m (£25m) in his contract at Hoffenheim and Dortmund are discussing the conditions of a deal with their German rivals.

Dortmund want to add Beier to their forward line alongside recent recruit Serhou Guirassy, following the sale of Niclas Fullkrug to West Ham and Youssoufa Moukoko’s impending loan switch to Marseille.
