Former Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is exploring a return to the Premier League after becoming a free agent this summer.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since June, when he mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Mexican side Monterrey. According to Teamtalk, intermediaries have recently approached several Premier League clubs to make them aware that Martial is open to returning to England.
Everton, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle United, Sunderland and Tottenham have all been contacted about the French forward’s availability. However, those approaches do not necessarily mean any of the clubs are actively pursuing him.
Everton, in particular, are not understood to have been contacted, despite being linked with the former United forward following their failed deadline-day attempt to sign Folarin Balogun from Monaco.

Martial is free to join a club outside the transfer window and is now weighing up his options. He is also attracting interest from clubs in France, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia.
The Frenchman spent nine years at Manchester United after joining from Monaco in 2015, making more than 300 appearances and scoring 90 goals. He won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League during his time at Old Trafford.
After leaving United in 2024, Martial spent a season with AEK Athens before moving to Monterrey last September. His spell in Mexico lasted less than a year, leaving him available on a free transfer.
A return to England would give Martial an opportunity to revive a Premier League career that began with a memorable debut campaign at United, although his recent moves abroad have seen his career take a different path.
