Former Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has backed Maurizio Sarri to be a success if he takes over from Antonio Conte as manager at Stamford Bridge.
As we reported earlier the former Napoli boss is close to signing a two year deal to coach the London club.
Sarri’s Napoli were renowned for playing some of the best possession based football in Europe in recent seasons, and they pushed Juventus close for the Serie A title this season, amassing an impressive 91 league points.
Chalobah spent the 2015/2016 season on loan in Naples before moving to Watford on a permanent deal and the England international speaks highly of the his former coach.
“Playing under him was very easy as he puts out every single detail you need to know as a player.
“We’ve seen how Napoli play and it’s attractive football. He’s got the ability to drive his team and get the best out of the players. He’s a great guy.”
