Football Manager fans have been given the date they’ve all be waiting for with the confirmation that FM26 will be released on November 4th.
The franchise cancelled the 2025 edition of the game due to issues with the new Unity game engine and a problematic new user interface.
After deeming the issues negatively impacted the game’s fun, experience and usability, Sports Interactive opted against releasing the game in favour of focusing extra time to FM26.
FM26 will now be released on November 4th and a trailer has been dropped detailing the newest features. After what feels like an eternity to the game’s loyal following, Football Manager is so nearly back.

The trailer, commentator Peter Drury’s voice is heard saying: “The wait has been long. The build-up impossible to ignore. So much has changed, but that feeling? It never left.”
However, it is specified that all footage is not actual in-game graphics.
FM26: When is Football Manager 2026 released
FM26 will be released on November 4th 2025. The game is now available to pre-order, where you can purchase with a 10% discount. Netflix have also confirmed the Mobile version of the game will be available on the platform.
