Manchester United have named their team to face Bournemouth in the Premier League, with captain Bruno Fernandes dropped from the side.
Fernandes has been named among the substitutes at Old Trafford, in the wake of his critical comments towards manager Michael Carrick in midweek. The 32-year-old spoke out against the tactical approach, following United’s 4-1 defeat at Como in the Champions League.
Carrick has named his team to face the Cherries with Fernandes excluded from the side. Youri Tielemans looks likely to operate as the most advanced midfielder, ahead of Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba. Mason Mount also comes into the side, while Harry Maguire captains the team in the absence of Fernandes.
United are bidding to send a seven-game winless run in all competitions, the club’s longest winless run since 2015. Bournemouth are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the teams.
