Fenerbahce have identified Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as one of their top attacking targets this summer as the Turkish club look to strengthen under new head coach Ismail Kartal.
According to The Sun, Rashford is part of a three-man shortlist that also includes AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr.
The report claims Fenerbahce have already contacted Rashford’s representatives to explore the possibility of a move, with the Super Lig side prepared to make a significant financial offer in an attempt to lure the England international to Turkey.
Fenerbahce eye move for Man Utd’s Rashford
Rashford is expected to take his time before deciding on his future following England’s third-place finish at the World Cup. The 28-year-old has been linked with several clubs this summer after returning from his loan spell at Barcelona, where the Spanish champions opted against making his move permanent.
Fenerbahce are understood to be backing Kartal in the transfer market as they seek to close the gap on rivals Galatasaray. However, Rashford is not the club’s only attacking target.
The Turkish side have reportedly held talks over a move for Leao but are yet to reach an agreement, while Sarr also remains under consideration as they assess multiple options to strengthen their frontline.
At this stage, Fenerbahce’s interest in Rashford remains exploratory, with no agreement in place between the parties. Whether the Turkish club can convince the Manchester United forward to make the move is expected to become clearer as the transfer window progresses.
