Fenerbahce are closing in on the signing of Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri in a club-record deal worth in excess of €20m.
Jose Mourinho’s arrival as manager of the Istanbul outfit has seen Fenerbahce strengthen their squad with some eye-catching arrivals, including former Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu and ex-Newcastle winer Allan Saint-Maximin.
The Turkish Süper Lig side are now nearing a club-record deal for En-Nesyri, who has been heavily linked with Premier League clubs in recent transfer windows.
West Ham have a long-standing interest in the Morocco international, who has scored 73 goals in 196 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla.
Newcastle and Spurs have also been credited with interest in the 27-year-old, who formed part of the Morocco side that reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2022, scoring the quarter-final winner to dump out Portugal.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Fenerbahce are now working on the final details of the player’s contract with a medical set to be arranged, as the Turkish side look to beat late competition from Roma to the forward.
Fenerbahce finished as runners-up in the Turkish Süper Lig last season despite earning a club-record 99 points.
