Fellaini says his future will be revealed ‘soon’

Marouane Fellaini has announced that his future will be revealed ‘soon’ with speculation that he will be moving away from Manchester United this summer.

The former Everton midfielder has just a matter of days remaining on his current deal at Manchester United and has been linked with a free transfer to any one of a number of clubs around Europe.

While he has been linked with staying in the Premier League with Arsenal, PSG, Juventus, AC Milan and Besiktas all having been linked in recent months.

Fellaini has so far failed to agree on a new deal with Man Utd, with the Belgian thought to be wanting in excess of £125,000-a-week, as well as wanting a contract longer than the 12 months that United are willing to offer.

There remains a chance that he could stay with United on reduced terms but when asked if he would return to Manchester next season, Fellaini’s simply replied:

“You will know soon.”

United have already lost Michael Carrick this summer after the former England international retired to join Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff.

They have however moved swiftly to replace the former Spurs and West Ham midfielder, and have announced last week that they have completed the signing of Brazil international Fred, who moves to Old Trafford in what is believed to be a £52million deal.

If Fellaini does leave as expected, United could move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
