With just days remaining of the transfer window, Nabil Fekir has teased Premier League fans by refusing to rule out a move away from Lyon.
Fekir was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this summer, with speculation suggesting that everything had been agreed, with the clubโs TV channel getting ready to announce his arrival, before the deal broke down – apparently due to his medical.
It has been thought that Liverpool may try to resurrect a deal, while Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with having an interest in the Lyon playmaker.
Now, with just three days left for Premier League clubs to conclude their transfer business, the France international has stated that he is happy at his current club, but crucially refused to rule out a move away:
โAs you can see, I am in Lyon. I am very happy here. But the transfer window is still long and everything goes very quickly in football,” he told Lyonโs official TV channel.
“We donโt know what will happen in the future but I am very happy at Lyon. I feel brilliant in this squad. We have very good players, a great atmosphere.
“It is a bit like the French national team: a mixture of youngster and older players, with some players more experienced than others. We have a good group, very homogeneous. We feel good together and I hope that Lyon will have a very good season.โ
