EA Sports FC is set to be released later this month, with gamers eagerly awaiting the chance to get their hands on the rebranded game.
For veterans of EA Sports produced games, Career Mode is a true staple. These days the game mode is more in-depth and more fascinating than ever before, with new options for both Manager and Player careers available in FC24.
Here, we look at some of the brand new features set to be introduced in the latest game.
FC24: The new features in EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode:
Tactical Innovation
The first edition of EA Sports FC will allow managers to stamp their mark on their teams better than ever before. Introduced, in the first game since the long-time partnership with FIFA ended, will be a new tactical management system, allowing players to style their team how they choose.
Whether inspired by Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp or anyone else, Career Mode managers will have the chance to implement their own take on tactics.
Among the tactical approaches you can select (and tweak) are:
- Standard
- Wing Play
- Tiki-Taka
- Counter-Attack
- Gegenpressing
- Kick & Rush
- Park the Bus
Coaches
For the first time, coaches are introduced in Career Mode. Your coaching staff will have a major impact on both how your team learns your tactics and player development. Having better coaches in your backroom staff will directly alter the development of your players.
Pre-game preparation.
Three new features have been introduced for pre-match preparation in Career Mode.
- Training Plans
- Pre-Match Reports
- Match Ready Training
Training plans allow you to manage the work-load of your squad, ensuring players remain at full fitness and sharpness ahead of big games.
Pre-match reports provide information on an upcoming opponent and their tactical approach, allowing managers to tweak their tactics to combat opposition strengths.
Match Ready training allows managers to practice drills in preparation for an upcoming opponent. For example, against a team likely to operate a ‘Park the Bus’ mentality, managers can now prepare by using precise passing drills which will prove useful in breaking down a packed defence.
Spectator mode
FC24 will also provide an opportunity to spectate games from a number of angles and views. Managers can now spectate career mode games focused on a single player, from the touchline, or even from the stands of the stadium.
Celebratory moments
New celebratory moments have been included in both Manager and Player Career Modes. These include open-top bus parades after silverware success and end-of-season awards, including the Ballon d’Or!
Player Career
Player Agents
Introduced in Player Career Mode are player agents, who will help guide players through their career. You can inform your agent on your ambitions in the game and they’ll provide step by step guidance on how to reach those objectives.
In the game, players will be given targets which, when achieved, can help propel your pathway from academy prospect to global superstar. Your agent will set milestones, which will enable players to move to ‘stepping stone clubs’ on route to their dream destination.
Player Career personalities
Player personalities return in FC 24, though with some adjustments to how they worked in FIFA 23. The decisions a player makes on and off the pitch will affect their attributes and will work towards unlocking the new PlayStyles system.
Each personality tier will unlock a new usable PlayStyle, which will be based entirely on the personality type of your player. Whether your player develops into a Maverick, Heartbeat or Virtuoso will be dependent on your choices in-game.
