Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has moved to dismiss reports linking the 25-year-old with a move away from the club.
The Brazilian joined Jurgen Klopp’s side in a £40m deal from Monaco last summer, and after a slow start to life at Anfield has been linked with a return to France with Paris Saint-Germain.
Fabinho started Sunday’s dramatic Merseyside derby win over Everton and after featuring more prominently in recent weeks he has stated he is happy with life at the club.
“I was told that there was something in the media, but I have never said that I wanted to leave Liverpool.’’ Fabinho told L’Equipe.
“I was aware that I would need to have patience and wait for my moment. I am happy at Liverpool, I don’t have a single reason to leave.”
Liverpool next travel to struggling Burnley on Wednesday night looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
