Borussia Monchengladbach will only consider an ‘extraordinary offer’ to sell Premier League-linked midfielder Manu Kone this month.
Kone has been scouted extensively by a number of Premier League clubs in recent months with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle all credited with interest in signing the 22-year-old in the summer.
The Frenchman has struggled with a number of fitness issues this season and has made just nine league appearances for Monchengladbach in the current campaign, having emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting midfielders in 2022/23.
Last season, Kone ranked inside the top 10 players in Germany’s top division for progressive passes, passes into the final third, tackles, successful take-ons and fouls drawn.
Sky Germany are reporting that Monchengladbach have received no ‘concrete’ approaches for Kone this month and that it would take a huge offer for the club to consider a sale in January.
The German side view the midfielder, who has represented France up to u-21 level, as a key player for head coach Gerardo Seoane and aim to keep Kone at Borussia-Park until the end of the season at least.
