Everton have seen £21million bid for Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic rejected.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker was a part of Croatia’s Euro 2016 squad this summer, where he helped his country to to the last 16 stage of the tournament before being eliminated from the competition.

Kalinic left Ewood Park in 2011 where he completed a move to Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk where he spent four years before eventually moving to Serie A club Fiorentina in last summer. He scored 12 goals in 36 league games during his debut campaign, sparking interest from Ronald Koeman at Everton.

However, their £21million offer has been knocked back by the Italians leaving Everton to up their offer or shift their attentions elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the Blues are expected to complete the £25million signing of Yannick Bolasie this week, in a deal which could be announced as early as today.
