Just when you thought it couldn’t get much worse for Everton at the moment, the Premier League have announced that Kurt Zouma was sent off after their 1-0 defeat to Watford.

Andre Gray scored the only goal of the game as Watford beat the Toffees 1-0 with Marco Silva making a very unhappy first return to Vicarage Road since being sacked by the Hornets last January.

It is a result that means that Everton have lost five of their last six games in all competitions, and despite sitting in ninth, they are only nine points above the relegation zone and are only two points better off than they were at this stage last season.

The Watford Faithful directed renditions of ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ towards their former manager, whose day was not made any better when Kurt Zouma was shown two yellow cards after the final whistle.

The on-loan Chelsea defender raced towards referee Lee Probert following the full-time whistle, and having come very close to the officials face, he was quickly shown two yellow cards, and will now miss Everton’s tricky away trip against Cardiff next weekend.
