There is no other fresh fitness concern in the squad heading into Sunday, though deadline day brought significant change: Iliman Ndiaye departed for Manchester City in a reported £65m deal, and a proposed move for Folarin Balogun from Monaco collapsed after the American forward pulled out of the deal following his medical.
Jack Grealish returned to the club on a season-long loan from Manchester City on the same day Ndiaye left, and is set to start on the left in place of Tyrique George after the winger’s underwhelming display at Bournemouth. Brennan Johnson is expected to fill the creative role vacated by Ndiaye, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles, also signed on deadline day from Lyon, is likely to feature from the bench having yet to make his debut.
