Romelu Lukaku’s proposed move to Chelsea has taken a step forward despite the fact that Everton have rejected a £57million bid for Belgian.
Everton are believed to have finally accepted that the striker wants to leave Goodison Park and rejoin his former club.
Lukaku left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in 2014 despite spending the previous two seasons on loan at West Brom and Everton respectively. But now the 23-year old could be set to return, but only if they meet Evertons asking price.
The price that has been set by Everton is a staggering £75million, the same fee that Juventus recently paid for Gonzalo Higuain.
Antonio Conte is keen to add another striker to his squad following the departures of Alexandre Pato and Radamel Falcao, whilst he has already signing Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.
Any deal for the Belgian will see his agent Mino Raiola see another big payday. He has already brokered moves for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to move to Manchester United, whilst Paul Pogba is set to follow them to a old Trafford on a World Record deal over the weekend or early next week.
