Everton are preparing to splash the cash once again as they eye up a move for William Carvalho.
The Sporting Lisbon midfielder was heavily linked with a move to West Ham this summer, only for a war of words to break out between the Hammers and Sporting Club after the deal fell through.
Now, reports in Portugal claim that Everton are preparing a bid for the midfield enforcer.
Portuguese publication Record claim that Everton boss Ronald Koeman is preparing a €35m move for the 25-year-old as he looks to strengthen the club’s midfield following a disappointing start to the season.
The Blues have picked up just eight points in their opening eight games following Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Brighton.
Everton are also looking to add a new goalscorer to the side in January. They sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United for £75m back in July, but only brought in Spanish youngster Sandro Ramirez as a £5m replacement.
