Everton are being linked with moves for England midfielder Fabian Delph and highly-rated Juventus forward Moise Kean.
Marco Silva is looking to strengthen his squad this summer as the Merseyside club look to challenge the Premier League‘s top six, having enjoyed an impressive end to last season.
The 29-year-old made just eight league starts for Pep Guardiola’s side last season, and has fallen further down the pecking order following the club-record signing of Atletico Madrid’s Rodri.
Comfortable in midfield or at left-back, the signing of the 20-cap England international would add an experienced and versatile option to Silva’s squad.
Everton are also believed to be interested in a move for Juventus forward Kean, the 19-year-old having impressed since making his breakthrough at the Turin side.
Kean scored eight goals in 21 appearances for the Italian champions last season, and would likely cost in the region of £31m, although Juventus are believed to want to include a buy-back clause as part of any deal.
Everton’s summer transfer business began with the free transfer capture of Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl, whilst the Merseyside club also completed the £22m permanent signing of Andre Gomes following his impressive loan spell at Goodison Park last season.
