Everton are set to launch a move to sign Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga as the club consider forward options.
Elanga has been linked with an exit from Manchester United after struggling for regular first-team football last season, with the 21-year-old making just five starts in the Premier League under Erik ten Hag.
Elanga spoke on his frustration at a bit-part role in March and Everton are ready to renew their interest in the winger, after enquiries into his availability during the January transfer window.
Foot Mercato are reporting that the Toffees are ready to launch a move for Elanga, who has scored three goals in 12 appearances for Sweden at international level.
Forward additions in wide areas are a focus for Everton, who were the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League last season and have failed to make a signing so far this summer.
Sky Sports are reporting that Sean Dyche’s side are also interested in Leeds winger Wilfried Gnonto and Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma.
Everton came close to signing Danjuma on loan in January before Tottenham hijacked the deal, but the Netherlands international endured a frustrating time in north London and made just one Premier League start. The 26-year-old is free to leave the Spanish side this summer.
