Everton are in talks with Colombia World Cup defender Yerry Mina according to reports.
The 23-year-old Barcelona defender only moved to the Camp Nou six months ago in a €12 million deal from Palmeiras, but could now be set for a swift exit, with a move to the Premier League expected to be completed.
According to Goal.com, Everton are close to agreeing a £21 million deal to sign the Colombian International defender, who despite only making six appearances for Barcelona, took a starring role at this summers World Cup in Russia.
Mina scored three goals for Colombia during this summer’s tournament, including that last-gasp equaliser against England in the last 16 stage to take the game to extra time.
He has also been linked with a move to Spurs, where he would be united with international defensive team-mate Davinson Sanchez, who moved to the Premier League club from Ajax last summer.
However, the report claims that it is Everton who are closest to completing the signing of the youngster, as Marco Silva looks to build his side ahead of the 2018/19 Premier League season.
