Everton will move for Danny Welbeck if they cannot tempt Olivier Giroud to Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman has been heavily linked with making a move for Giroud all summer but has so far been unable strike a deal.

Giroud was unhappy at playing second fiddle to Alexis Sanchez last season, and with the arrival of club record signing Alexandre Lacazette, his opportunities are unlikely to be increased.

However he is believed to be waiting to see how much he will feature in Arsene Wengers plans before deciding on his future.

The Sunday People claim that if Everton cannot convince the 30-year-old to move to join their ranks, the will turn their attentions to to his Arsenal teammate, Danny Welbeck. Welbeck could command a fee of around £30m but already knows several of the Everton squad due to his Manchester United and England connections.

During his three years at Arsenal, he has struggled with injuries have have restricted him to just 69 appearances, where he has scored 17 goals.
