Everton have finally agreed on a fee to sign Barcelona full-back Lucas Digne, according to reports.
The Toffees have only made one addition to their side this summer, making the £50 million signing of Brazilian winger Richarlison from Watford in what has been a bleak summer for Blues fans.
After watching their side romp to a 22-0 win in their first game of pre-season, Marco Silva’s men have drawn two and lost three, including a 3-0 defeat to Blackburn last week and a 4-1 defeat to Rennes.
Everton have been linked with a number of players this summer, but according to Goal, the club has finally agreed on a fee of around €25 million to sign left-back Lucas Digne.
The French left-back has failed to break into the star-studded Barcelona first team, making just 20 appearances in total and missing out on the opportunity to represent his country at this summer’s World Cup.
It is expected that Digne will replace long-term first-choice left-back Leighton Baines at Goodison Park, with the 33-year-old having been at the club for 10 years.
Everton have also been linked with Digne’s Barcelona teammate Yerry Mina, although he is attracting attention from Manchester United and Wolves.
