Everton have agreed a £22million fee with Manchester United for the transfer of French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
Schneiderlin moved to Old Trafford just 18 months ago in a £24million move from Southampton but struggled to cement a place in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI last season.
The Frenchman has found his opportunities even further limited under new United boss Jose Mourinho, making just 3 appearances in the Premier League under the Portuguese boss.
He has attracted attention from both Everton and West Bromwich Albion, and whilst Jose Mourinho has granted the player a transfer, Manchester United have managed to recouperate the vast majority of the fee paid.
It is rumoured that the player has already agreed personal terms with Everton, where he will link up once again with former Southampton boss Ronald Koeman.
Schneiderlin scored just one goal for Manchester United, ironically, against Everton at Goodison Park.
