Euro 2016 star would welcome Chelsea transfer

The agent of Sunderland midfielder Emmanuele Giaccherini has claimed that the midfielder would welcome a move to Chelsea this summer in a bid to continue playing under Antonio Conte.

Conte will move to Stamford Bridge this summer following the completion of his duties with Italy at Euro 2016.

Giaccherini, who has been involved in both of Italies opening games has become an important figure for Italy under Conte, scoring a stunning opening goal in the 2-0 win of World number 1 team, Belgium.

His agent has now explained that the midfielder would be willing to continue playing under Conte by completing a move to Chelsea.

Giaccherini is a player who played 80 per cent of the games for a Juventus that had Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio in the midfield.

Conte likes him a lot and Chelsea would be a dream.

It’s still too early to talk about his future. After the Euros, whoever wants to buy him will not have to pay a high price to Sunderland.

The 31-year old moved to Sunderland in 2013 in a £6.5million move from Juventus, but failed to make an impression at the Stadium of Light before being loaned out to Serie A club Bologna.
