Euro 2016: Day 24 Round-Up

The Quarter-Finals are over, The Semi-Final fixtures are set as Euro 2016 edges one step closer to crowning its kings.

Germany suffered a bitter blow to their title aspirations after it was confirmed that Mario Gomez will play no further part after scans showed the striker had suffered a hamstring tear. Sami Khedira (abductor) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (knee) are also doubts.

France 5-2 Iceland

Icelands defences could not be broken down in their previous match against England, but France cut the vikings open time and time again in the highest scoring game of the tournament.

Olivier Giroud, Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann made it 4-0 at half time, before Kolbeinn Sigthorsson pulled one back on 56 minutes, before Giroud netted his second just three minutes later.

Bikir Bjarnason scored a late consolation goal for Iceland.
