Arsenal manager Unai Emery has voiced his happiness that midfielder Alex Iwobi has committed his long-term future to the North London club.
The 22-year-old Nigeria international penned a new five-year-deal at the Emirates earlier today, and Emery has revealed that he sees Gunners Academy graduate Iwobi as a great example for other young players at the club.
“I’m very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us,” The former PSG coach told the official Arsenal website.
“He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the Academy through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our other talented young players in the squad.”
