Arsenal manager Unai Emery has admitted that the Gunners are on the look out for players to sign during the January transfer window.
The Gunners have shown plenty of signs of progression since the Spaniard took over from Arsene Wenger last summer, but one area where Arsenal continue to look fragile is at centre-back and Emery has admitted that he wants to sign another defender.
The former Sevilla and PSG boss also revealed that he would like to bring in another winger as his side look to finish this season on a strong note.
“I think the club is working for the possibility to take some players who can help us during these next four months.’’ Emery told the press after yesterday’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Blackpool.
“Maybe the transfer market can help us with a centre-back, but it is not easy because also (Konstantinos) Mavropanos is coming back after injury. Also a winger, right or left, one player can help us in this position.”
Arsenal are also said to be close to concluding a deal for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
