Emery admits Liverpool clash ‘will be a very big test.’

Unai Emery leads his Arsenal side into battle against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, but has admitted that it will be’a very tough test’.

The Gunners have been in fantastic form since late August and will be brimming with confidence when Jurgen Klopp and his men arrive in London.

Emery today acknowledged the fact that the visit of Liverpool is going to be a tough test for his Arsenal side, with Klopp’s team coming into the game level on points with Man City at the top of the Premier League.

“I think each match is a very important match and each match for us is very important. The most important is tomorrow,” Emery told the press today.

“It’s a very big test because it’s against Liverpool, they are a very good team, an intense team and they require a lot of work for us to battle them but I believe in our team and our players.”

Emery had done his research and commented on the history of these fixtures which tend to provide plenty of goals for the fans to enjoy.

“We are also doing our way. Historically, they say there are a lot of goals in matches between Arsenal and Liverpool and the most important thing for us is that every supporter can enjoy this match. But we want to enjoy winning.”

It was a 3-3 scoreline in the same fixture last season. If the entertainment level is even half as good on Saturday then fans of both clubs are in for a football feast.
