Emery admits Cech’s Arsenal future is uncertain

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has admitted he doesn’t know if experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech has a future with the Gunners.

When asked if Cech – who holds the record for the most clean sheets in Premier League history – has a future with Arsenal Emery replied:

“I don’t know now, it has to do with the club and the player,” Emery told the press ahead of his sides FA Cup tie away to Blackpool today.

“He started this season very well, very good behaviour, commitment and also performance. And then when he had his injuries, he recovered his position on the bench.

“I am very happy with him. We will speak in the future with the player but at the moment I want his focus to be the same in every training and match.”
