Mohamed Salah is ready to consider a shock return to former club Chelsea, according to Egyptian TV.
Rumours in Salah’s home country have suggested the 34-year-old is willing to return to Chelsea this summer, amid tentative links.
Salah is searching for a new club after leaving Liverpool by mutual consent, following nine decorated seasons at Anfield.
The winger scored 257 goals in 442 games for Liverpool, where he won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and a record-breaking three PFA Player of the Year awards among his honours.
Salah had endured a tough spell at Chelsea earlier in his career, where he made only 13 league appearances.
However, Egyptian media are reporting that Salah would return to Stamford Bridge, with the player keen to remain playing at the highest level. He is reportedly viewed as an ideal experienced option to help guide Chelsea’s inexperienced squad.
