Dybala set to spurn Chelsea interest to sign new Roma contract

Paulo Dybala is reportedly set to shun a potential move to Chelsea in order to stay at Roma.

The Argentina international is under contract in the Italian capital until 2025, though has been linked with an exit, with his current deal said to include a release clause that can be activated by non-Italian clubs for just €12 million.

Chelsea have been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old as they look to strengthen their attacking options, with Mauricio Pochettino a big admirer of his compatriot.

The Blues boss made an unsuccessful attempt to sign Dybala in 2019 during his time at Tottenham and seemingly still appreciates his talents.

However, according to Tuttomercato, the Roma forward is set to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico that would see his release clause raised and effectively end Chelsea’s ambitions of signing the player.

Dybala impressed during his debut season with Roma, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions from 29 starts.
