Jadon Sancho ‘will play for Borussia Dortmund next season’ according to club director

Borussia Dortmund are not planning on allowing Jadon Sancho to leave the club this summer, saying that they are ‘definitely planning with him’.

Having moved from Man City to Borussia Dortmund back in 2017 for just £8m, Sancho has gone on to develop into one of the hottest prospects in European football, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists in his 25 Bundesliga appearances this season.

His form has seen him attract the attentions of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Manchester United and PSG having both been linked, while reports this morning claiming that the Old Trafford outfit will make Sancho’s transfer a priority in the upcoming summer window.

While reports have suggested that United could be willing to pay up to £100m for Sancho, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has today insisted that the 18-year-old will not be leaving the club, saying that any potential fee would be ‘hard to beat for even the biggest clubs’.

“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season and we are definitely planning with him,” Zorc told Sport Bild.

“I am far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I maintain that his transfer would be hard to beat even for the biggest clubs in the world at the moment.”

Sancho has today been called up by Gareth Southgate for the upcoming internationals against the Czech Republic and Montenegro where he will be looking to build upon his three international caps.
