West Ham have competed the free transfer signing of Ryan Fredericks from newly promoted Fulham.
The 25-year-old right-back becomes the first signing of Manuel Pellegrini’s reign as Hammers boss and will join the club officially on the 1st of July on a four-year contract.
Fredericks began his career at West Ham’s London rivals Spurs, but he struggled to break into the first team at White Hart Lane and moved to Bristol City in 2015. He would spent only 26 days as a Bristol player however, and joined Fulham on a three-year deal.
The former England U19 international has impressed massively at Craven Cottage in recent seasons and was one of the key men in the West London clubs promotion to the Premier League this season.
West Ham have moved to snap the talented young defender up on a free after his contract with Fulham expired, and he will compete with veteran full back Pablo Zabaleta for a starting spot in Pellegrini’s team next season.
